THE PLAYING ORDER 

​

-Check the instrument without moving keys as much as possible.

-Broken/worn/missing felts and corks replaced.

-Ensuring that all pads are sealing properly.

-Regulation is checked and adjusted throughout.

-Spring detent is adjusted if required. 

-Giving the instrument a dust off and light clean.

-All keywork is externally lubricated.

 

THE FULL SERVICE 

​

-The instrument is totally stripped down, body and keys cleaned/polished.

Wooden instrument is oiled inside and out. (Clarinet, Flute)

-Dents are removed as far as possible. (Sax, Flute)

-Broken/worn/missing felts and corks replaced.

-The old oil is fully removed and the keys are re-oiled.

-Ensuring that all pads are sealing properly.

-Spring detent is adjusted if required. 

-The instrument is reassembled to good working order.

 

THE FULL REPAD 

​

-The instruments is totally disassembled.

-The body and keywork are cleaned/ polished.

Wooden instrument is oiled inside and out. (Clarinet, Flute)

-Dents are removed as far as possible. (Sax,Flute)

-Crook cork is replaced. (Sax, Bassoon)

-Replacement of all pads, corks and felts.

Tenon corks are replaced. (Clarinet, Bassoon)

-Fitting of new springs where required.

-Removal of excessive mechanism movement.

-The mechanism is lubricated.

-The instrument is reassembled and regulated.
